Sum started off winning of 109, Then ran off 113,112, 112, present mark is 104, Most people will argue that the trainer/ owner have every right to run their horse how they see fit, After all its the owner who pays the fees, Ok let’s just Imagine that betting should only be restricted to the owners/trainers, There is a law in force that does not allow Jo public to bet on these horses, Do you think the industry ( Big four, Betfair) would make the profits they do from horse racing? No is the answer, Its Jo Public who keep this industry ticking over, Without Jo Public you would not have derby, you would not have the grand national, You would not have the 0-45 handicaps at southwell, Why Jo Public gets a raw deal is all down to Jo public, Because Jo Public will is too busy trying to beat the system, Jo Public just can’t be bothered, Sum as already drifted out to 11 from 8s this morning, This drift is just part of the plan to make punters concentrate on the market leader this morning, to be more blunt mind games are in full flow.
Sometime ago I twitted about the advertisement that Paddy Power were using, I sent a direct message, They were using a attractive lady with a cane, I commented that the last thing that Punters think about when they go through a bad run is some Dolly with a cane, I expressed to them they would be better of using a talking Viagra Pill, I might be wrong but I have not seen that Ad since then, The point been that this ad would have got the approval of the brains in the organisation, The suited PR Guy, When I first saw that ad, the first thing that crossed my mind that Paddy Power thought that put a nice bird in the add and punters will get turned on and open a account, Which I felt was a kind of insult to punters, If you look through my posts on my blog you will see the comment. Have you seen the VC ad? When you see that ad does it make you run to open an account? Mr VC with his hands in his pockets trying to sound like Alan Sugar is not asking you to bet with VC but is telling you, Bad ad whoever thought of it.
The point I am trying to make is that your voice can be heard, I could be wrong about Paddy power not using the ad because of what I said, If they have stopped using it they won’t say it was because of what I said (Not Bothered), If we the punters are not going to stick up for our rights then who will? I’ve rumbled on a bit today, But when you see that VC ad again think about what I said.
