First win over this distance (7F) was way back in 07, Second win was in November of this year, tried a further five times at distance without any success, The race he won over this trip was a class 6 race, The calibre of opposition compared to the likes of GOLDEN DESERT and MAHADEE was very moderate, I’m very confident (Barring bad luck) that he will not win, Look through his form and you will see that he has never been able to win back to back, In fact there is a pattern in his form which indicates that he could be beaten around 5-6L, Tom Queally has a very good strike rate for Simon Dow, He has ridden Golden five times, On one occasion narrowly beaten in a class 4 handicap, He takes the ride on MAHADEE. The value in the race I feel lies in CITY LEGEND, I do feel that the market will speak in favour of Golden; The drop in this sort of class for the very first time could be the dominator for him to shorten from 2.90 into around 2.58.
