The recent racing fixing tribulations and the not so distance whip rule make you wonder if it is worth putting in the effort only for some crooked son of a Bleep to undo all your hard work, I have always held the view that Irish racing is run more honestly than racing here. Maybe because it’s something to do with the Irish way of life, The Blame I feel lies at the door step of the people, who run racing in this country, If they don’t wake up then racing is going to be like the premier league, Small stable/owners will just up shop and who could blame them, When racing (it will I promise you that) reaches that stage then Punters can kiss betting on the horse good bye because the odds are going to be so cramped that you will see punters in betting shops relieving each other of cramp you know like footballers do one leg up push down.(Not what you was thinking Norbert) Taking all recent and past events into consideration I feel punters have to employ new methods to their betting, Trading I will feel will take off in a big way be it pre race or IR hence my prediction of IR price for those that may want to get out early with a profit.
I do feel that my selection can be beaten, we have to take into consideration that the jockey last won a race under rules three years ago, the trainer’s record is not that impressive 52-2, His most recent run looks very impressive 2nd of 25, let’s look at the other 23 runners, 16 were priced at over25-1 (12@50-1) Not very impressive, look at the PTP race my selection won, again a big field of 15 runners,9 of the 15 were PU or Fell, The odds on fav in that race did not run to form, the rest never won a race of any description not even at Portman Park, Although my selection as won over 3m I really don’t feel he stays(watched replays)
ROURKE´S CROSS most recent form figure reads U off putting I know, I have looked past that U and focused more on the Market sentiment that day, He was the 11/8 fav in a 25 runner race, Unlike the 24 that my selection faced Cross was the 11/8 fav against some decent types, Even the winners trainer thought he was lucky because Cross U, In that race there were plenty of PTP winners or horse that had finished behind some decent sorts under rules, If Lean Times race fitness could be taken on trust he could beat both these horses, However I would be concerned about the ground
QUOTES: Trainer Willie Mullins: Local Celebrity is doing it right and he was probably a bit lucky when the favourite unseated his rider.
