Winners last time out are almost over bet by Jo Public most of the time, Most of the time important facts are over looked in the rush to get on, I am confident that point can be beaten but before I go on let me explain to you the C factor, When I say I am confident that does not mean I ask the missies to pack her bags because there’s a good chance we could be moving in with Norbert, It’s the feel I get when I’m working through the race(Gut feeling) I’m sure everyone gets that feeling from time to time, Today I get that feeling about my selection.
When you sit down to work through a horses form you have to go that extra mile in order for you to have the edge in the market place, there is no secret in how you can obtain that edge other than thinking outside the box; Point did win last time out but what did he beat? Is his trainer going to use the same tactics? Or is he going to give different instructions so that he does not win? Or as Mr Owner said to the Trainer; M8 that fucking price is ridiculous tell the lad to sit back off the pace so that he gets a shit load of sand in his face (Horses face) it’s not often I use profanity to describe a horses chance but I hope you will forgive me on this occasion, I just wanted to help you build a mental image of what we are faced with when trying to beat the game.
Let’s see what and how Point beat what he beat
LE King I feel would not have been suited by the fibre sand, One win to date was over 7F at Ling aw which is a much faster surface, One very important that I feel contributed to Kings defeat, That been when he won his race at Ling he made all the running, You can see from running comment that he did not lead and the fact he Hung, Look through Kings form and you will see that every time he has run on soft/sand he has been well beaten.
From the above you can see that Point beat a group of horses that were running outside their comfort zone, One was a first time starter, If the market looks beyond the win, and thinks outside of the box then I can see my selection drifting out to 2.48
BARN DANCE I feel looks better than selling class and will win, On his first start he was well supported, When you view the replay of his races you can’t help but think that he will be suited by this deeper surface, RASPBERRY FIZZ is a big threat to Dance, Looks the value in the race
