34 starts 3 wins, one of those wins way back in 2008, I really don’t think that 7f is his trip, I pondered and pondered, where could I get the answer to my pondering? I know I will ring the Blood stock agent who Purchased Satwa in October 20011, Stephen Hillen agreed with me that 7F was not his trip but still thought he could win, With the utmost of respect to Mr Hillen I would have to disagree, Keep in mind that my selection as been to the well 34 times, 31 times he never come back out the well, 15 attempts at 7f won only once, even then it was not a clear cut victory, Today’s Jockey as ridden him 3 times no wins.
Keeping in sprite with the Aldi Motto I like RUSSIAN ICE and I also like HAND PAINTED, Hand as also had 33 starts and won 3, Yet there is a big gulf in their respective prices this morning, OK I agree had last won a race way back in 2009, But still I feel hes not out of it. Russian Ice I feel should win this, The race I feel is going to be set up for(Fast Pace) which should come from April Fool, This pace I don’t think will suite my selection, Look at the manner in which Russian Ice won- Won going away is a good indicator that that there is room for improvement. The market could be swayed by the fact that Jamie Spencer is due to ride for the trainer in Meydan tomorrow, but we don’t know if there has been a change of plan, Spencer is booked to ride Ottoman Empire, Richard Mullen as ridden Ottoman to victory before, is over there, So is Ted Durcan who as ridden Ottoman 9 times(From 11 starts), In a way I wished I never spoke to the blood stock agent this morning, You kind of think that people in that position know better than you, Having said that I am very confident and I believe in my judgment
Not much room start and behind, good headway over 1f out, strong run inside final furlong to lead final 30yds, won going away (op 13-2) |
