12:30 Southwell 15 Dec 2011 DUKE LIAM Lay-Trade 1.58-1.60 should take big walk in market- 1.85.
I have always advised that you should view replays of horses that you are backing/laying by doing so you will have a better idea on your selections chance. If you had taken the time to view the replay of the duke you will have seen that about 40 seconds into the race the jockey began to do that silly Agado dance If you do view the replay here is the link to so you can listen to the music and watch the replay, It really will give you a better feeling for how my selection may run. Look at the number of times the whip is used; Keep in mind the whip rule
Other factors to take into consideration are; My selection is coming into the race after a 6 day break, Normally for a better class of horse I would say that’s a advantage for a lesser class of horse I would say that’s a disadvantage, Austin Allegro type horse need time between their races.
I also viewed the replay of GREAT NICANOR race, He really dose move with more grace than my selection, Although well beaten on soft ground I feel he should get the better of my selection. Sometimes when I’m not sure about something I try to get answers to my concerns, I contacted the owner of Great Nicanors owner in Glasgow (No Norbert I phoned him-Norbert asked if I went to Glasgow) I wanted to find out if he was going to be at Southwell today, His PR said he was going to be out of the office for most of the day, Hmm I did not want to push my luck and ask where’s he gone so I’m just going to assume he is at track side today, The trainer of Great as very few runners at Southwell so its interested that he runs Great here, Could it be that he feels the Fibre sand will suite Great? When you see his Knee action ( Not the trainers the horses) you would think this deeper track should suite.
RED HERMES is a massive price, Her trainer thinks that she will run a big race, Just like poor losers who are very unforgiving when things go wrong, The Market is not willing to forgive Red for her bad run at Southwell, I viewed the replay of that race, Red was very green in that race, She used quite a lot of energy in the early stages of the races, She did improve for that run next time out and I feel she should make most of the weight concession and repay the faith that her trainer as in her. Below are comments of the trainer of Red, Go to his website and take a gander at the AW http://www.marktompkins.co.uk/en/daily-news-a-runners

Two runners today at Southwell which meant Iain and the girls have had an early start too. Red Hermes runs in the first, the seven furlong maiden. At the time of writing I am not sure who the jockey will be, but I am confident she will run a sound race as she improved on her debut last time and I think this trip will be ideal. Zenarinda runs later on in the mile and three maiden. She will be running over further in the new year as I commented after Saturday's run, but this looked another opportunity to earn some prize money. I'm just hoping this doesn't come too quick for her.
