2:10Cheltenham SAT 10 DEC 2011 HINTERLAND Trade/ Lay
Solid form built on good quality bricks, But in there somewhere you will find poor quality Breeze blocks which will give way to the solid support that Hinterland will receive today, I do think he can be beaten and IR he should hit 1.80 at some point. Current price 1.36-1.37
The form is very strong I can’t dispute that; the two placed horses have gone on to win their respective races (both won by wide margins), Has I said at the start there are Breeze blocks in the shape of Jackies Solitaire. Traitor, and the biggest Breeze block been Colebrook, These Breeze blocks are all inter linked and this is why the form of my selection takes a knock.
Colebrooke beat Jackies Solitaire by 47L, My selection beat her 11L, Another Breeze block which I forgot to add to the list is Hi Note who was also thrashed by Colebrook (41L), Hit Note reversed that form with Coledbrook, Secret Edge won that race, we know Secret was beaten 10L by my selection but we must keep in mind that secret did blunder in that race had he not then he would have finished much closer to my selection. Traitor beaten 14L by my selection also beaten over 16L by Rasam Aldaar, Even the 67 flat rated Malanos finished 15L in front of Traitor, By now you should be able to see that the form of my selection although looks strong has its weak points. Hallow Tree was beaten 3L by my selection, Tree beat a horse called Spartan King by 14L, King was also Beaten 23L by Traitor
HIGHLY EFFICIENT: Connections paid 170k for this horse in November, Was it money well spent? I would say yes, Beaten just over 1L by the 5 year old Hidden Universe who is rated 137 (NH) on that form line I feel Highly will make a fight of it, Now HINTERLAND as had that one run I’m sure the other trainers will know what tactics could be employed to beat this hot pot( No Norbert not Betty’s hot Pots)One important fact which we should note is the fact The race which my selection won was a slow run affair( Gallop very modest) the time of 5.52 seconds was slower than later novices´ handicap hurdles
